Alpine Golf and Sports Club

(site of Tiger Woods’ 2000 Asian Tour win)
Alpine Golf & Sports Club is one of Thailand’s top rated courses, and one of the best in Asia. The layout created by one of America’s leading golf course architects, Ronald M Garl. Alpine Golf & Sports Club is one of Thailand’s top rated courses, and one of the best in Asia. It was the venue for the 2000 Johnnie Walker Classic PGA tournament won by Tiger Woods and again hosted the same event in 2004.

Ayutthaya Golf Club

(well-maintained course is good for beginners)
Ayutthaya Golf Club is located in Ayutthaya Province around 90 mins from Bangkok centre. The locally designed and well-maintained course is relatively easy to play with generous fairways and large greens.

Bangkok Golf Club

Bangkok Golf Club is located only 35 minutes from the centre of town and is one of a handful of golf courses in the area and built in the 1990’s. The club was the site for numerous professional events including the Asian Tour’s Volvo Masters in 2003.

Bangpakong Riverside Country Club

Bangpoo Golf & Sports Club

The only course in Thailand designed by Arnold Palmer
Bangpoo Golf and Sports Club is one of Arnold Palmer’s creations in Asia. The course is set near the Gulf of Thailand on a land plot consisting of rolling terrain, mature trees, and large amounts of indigenous flowers. The seaside location provides a nice breeze to keep golfers cool even during the hottest of months.

Bangsai Country Club

Beautiful Course set in picturesque surroundings
A mere 34 miles north of downtown Bangkok lies Bangsai Country Club, a challenging gem of a golf course out in the rural countryside. This pastoral setting is far from the horns and the sirens of the city with rolling fairways and lateral water on 11 holes, with three holes where you will have to carry at least some water, depending on the tee from which you play. The elevation ranges from seven to 23 feet above sea level and on some holes you have lateral water on both sides of the fairways.

Best Ocean Golf Club & Resort

Best Ocean Golf Club is built on a coastal plain at three feet above sea level, ranging as high as 15 feet in places. Located 18 miles southwest from the centre of Bangkok in the community of Samut Sakhon about 4.5 miles from the Gulf of Thailand, sea breezes come into play as do many water hazards. Best Ocean is known for its island greens, island tees, and very large waste bunkers

Cascata Golf Club

Top golf course with wide fairways and fast greens
Cascata Golf Club is well away from the city clamour being 35 miles northeast of Bangkok. Expansive rice fields border the course on the north and south and the entire area is generally flat. The layout is no exception, averaging 8-12 feet above sea level, punctuated by more than 75 sand traps, which is not as many as on some courses, but the sizes of the bunkers at Cascata are considerably larger than one normally encounters. Sand isn’t the only hazard you face at this track. Every hole at Cascata has lateral water and on no fewer than six holes it is necessary to play shots over water. Despite the interesting design and fine condition, Cascata is rarely crowded owing to its 27 holes, making it an ideal venue for outings and tournaments.

Chuan Chuen Golf Club

A Nick Faldo Course
1998 brought with it the opening of the Chuan Chuen Golf Club. This is among the few Bangkok-based golf courses that has been designed by Nick Faldo. Found north of Bangkok, near the old Don Muang Airport the course is built in an expansive housing estate. The golf experience on this course is made even more natural by the numerous birds and old trees found on it

Green Valley Country Club

A challenging and attractive course
Green Valley Country Club Golf Course is situated in a beautiful countryside and benefits from the hundreds of trees and shrubs. There are some very difficult holes, including longish water carries on the opening holes of both sides. Fairways give many sloping lies and many of the greens are hidden behind huge mounds. The clubhouse is opulent and dining here can be expensive.

Kiarti Thanee Country Club

Great Course with an excellent practice area
Beginners as well as high handicappers will enjoy golfing at the Kiarti Thanee Country Club. It is highly favoured among the local Japanese players and is situated off the elevated highway. This feature makes this golf course very accessible for anyone coming from central Bangkok or going to or coming from the airport in Bangkok.

Krung Kavee Golf & Country Club

Among the best in Bangkok golf courses
The former domestic airport of Don Muang borders Krung Kavee, a golf course located on an expansive private housing estate. This course was constructed under the workmanship of designer Manabu Sakamoto, a world renowned architect whose designs are known to favour long golf courses.

Lakewood Country Club

36 hole course parkland style
Lakewood Country Club is the one of golf courses where there are many Japanese members and located at the 18 km. point of Bangna-Trad highway. There are 27 holes which consist of Lake, Wood and Rock course. Each course is challenging and exciting because of a good arrangement of bunkers and water hazards. At present they have a good reputation of management in the operation and maintenance.
