Designed by Chird Boonyarathaphan and opened in 1993 Bangkok Golf Club is one of the most delightful courses within the Bangkok suburbs, offering golf on a cleverly designed course with extremely testing fairways and greens. After the floods of 2011 a lot of the course was changed and a better and some would say and an easier course emerged.

The club was the site for numerous professional events including the Asian Tour's Volvo Masters in 2003

A good score will be based on hitting narrow fairways and avoiding the water hazards that front several of the excellent par-3's. The best of the short holes is the par-3 11th, where the island green requires good confidence to hit a strong tee shot over the water and carry the bunker blocking the front of the green. The 9th a double dogleg par-5 was voted one of the best 500 golf holes in the world by Golf Magazine in 1991.

Best of all here are the superb quality greens - fast and undulating. Thankfully, the caddies are well versed in reading the many slopes and borrows that characterize the putting surfaces.

The club house at Bangkok Golf Club offers traditional Thai massage, a well-stocked golf pro shop, locker rooms, and a choice of international and Japanese restaurants. The practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, and dedicated chipping areas.  Basic accommodations, including are also available for those who want an all-inclusive Bangkok golf resort holiday package. Bangkok Golf Club is also floodlit for night golf and for golfers who prefer late afternoon tee times.

Despite its central location, just 40 minutes from the city centre and 30 minutes from Bangkok’s international airport, this course has a refreshing rural appeal, due in part to the many species of waterfowl that inhabit the numerous lakes and ponds.

Highlights of this challenging course include the par four 14th whose island green is not for the faint hearted. The clubhouse is excellent and features Thai massage, a well stocked golf pro shop and a choice of international Italian and Japanese restaurants.
