Beautiful Course set in picturesque surroundings

A mere 34 miles north of downtown Bangkok lies Bangsai Country Club, a challenging gem of a golf course out in the rural countryside. This pastoral setting is far from the horns and the sirens of the city with rolling fairways and lateral water on 11 holes, with three holes where you will have to carry at least some water, depending on the tee from which you play. The elevation ranges from seven to 23 feet above sea level and on some holes you have lateral water on both sides of the fairways.

Cascata Golf Club

Top golf course with wide fairways and fast greens

Cascata Golf Club is well away from the city clamour being 35 miles northeast of Bangkok. Expansive rice fields border the course on the north and south and the entire area is generally flat. The layout is no exception, averaging 8-12 feet above sea level, punctuated by more than 75 sand traps, which is not as many as on some courses, but the sizes of the bunkers at Cascata are considerably larger than one normally encounters. Sand isn’t the only hazard you face at this track. Every hole at Cascata has lateral water and on no fewer than six holes it is necessary to play shots over water.
Despite the interesting design and fine condition, Cascata is rarely crowded owing to its 27 holes, making it an ideal venue for outings and tournaments.

Chuan Chuen Golf Club

A Nick Faldo Course

1998 brought with it the opening of the Chuan Chuen Golf Club. This is among the few Bangkok-based golf courses that has been designed by Nick Faldo. Found north of Bangkok, near the old Don Muang Airport the course is built in an expansive housing estate. The golf experience on this course is made even more natural by the numerous birds and old trees found on it.

Green Valley Country Club Golf Course is situated in a beautiful countryside and benefits from the hundreds of trees and shrubs. There are some very difficult holes, including longish water carries on the opening holes of both sides. Fairways give many sloping lies and many of the greens are hidden behind huge mounds. The clubhouse is opulent and dining here can be expensive.

Muang Kaew Golf Club

Muang Kaew Golf Course is the closest 18 hole course to the Bangkok City Centre. The course is located near the 7.7 km mark along the Bangna Trad Highway and takes about 20 minutes to reach by car from “city”and Suvarnnabhumi Ariport. Navatanee Golf Course is an exclusive course. It was built in 1973 specifically to host the 23rd World Cup of Golf in 1975. The Royal Golf & Country Club is the golf course with 18 holes designed by Japanese architect and located at the 26 km. distance from soi 77 of Sukhumvit road. It takes about one hour by car to reach the course from the city center of Bangkok. Generally the golf course is flat and many holes are arranged with water hazards. It is important for the players to hit accurate shots keeping away from water hazards.

The Royal Gems Golf and Sports Club

The Royal Gems & Sports Club is one of the famous membership golf courses in Thailand and located in Putthamonthon along the route 338. It takes about 45 minutes by car to reach the course from the city center of Bangkok. The Royal Gems Golf City (Dream Arena Course)

Ron Garl, has surpassed all expectations with this Royal Gems Golf City masterpiece course, inspired by a multitude of the world’s greatest golf holes. The developer’s inspirations range from the UK Classics including the Road Hole, complete with the wall, the Road, and “The” Bunker, and the “Postage Stamp” to some of the best that American courses have to offer, including the TPC Sawgrass 17th, Doral Blue Monster 18th, and the famed Church Pews of Oakmont. Though this course is not a replica of any holes, every golfer will see holes in which the inspiration is recognizable from recent major championships, especially when they see the back nine which was wholly inspired by the back nine at Augusta. We’re all inspired by greatness, and Garl certainly was with this design.

Vintage Golf Club

The Vintage Club, an 18 hole course, developed by the Central group is located 10 minutes drive from the 28 km point of the Bangna-Trad Highway. If driving from Bangkok centre, be aware of the required U-turn which appears with little warning, (if on the elevated tollway use exit 4). The course itself is extremely well maintained, most holes feature well placed bunkers and water hazards. Clubhouse facilities are excellent and include a swimming pool, fitness centre and a restaurant offering an array of different cuisines.

Windsor Park & Golf Club

Windsor Park & Golf Club was chosen to host the 12th Kosaido Thailand Ladies Open Golf Championship in 1998, just four years after its official opening. A truly International event with more that 20 different nationalities competing, this was the beginning of involvement with professional golf tournaments. Windsor Park & Golf Club continues to support both professional and amateur golf at different level, now with an expanded course layout of 36 holes; the last nine holes opened early in 2006 pose an increase challenge to golfers somewhat different to the other established three nine holes. From the Pro Tees, any 18 holes are over 6,900 yards, the Regular Tee around 6,400 yards and Par 72 for all courses. Course layout and design is both fair and addictive, wide fairways lead you to ample sized greens which then raise the challenge to your putting skills.
