Welcome to Burapha Golf Club, probably the most exciting and innovative sports, leisure and residential development ever seen in Thailand.
Exquisitely located in rolling countryside near the new Chonburi - Pattaya Highway, a short distance from the booming Easthern Seaboard, Burapha Golf Club has been specially designed and created to evoke the elegance and traditions of the great clubs in America.
Among its many world-class facilities are two 18-Hole championship golf courses (Links Styled), full service country club and a comprehensive range of sporting facilities.
The two 18-Hole championship golf courses have been planned by the highly respected architect Gary Panks and world - famous touring professional David Graham. Their own mission, now achieved with remarkable precision and dedication was to build a club that would be recognised for its exceptional standards in the most prestigious golfing circles here in Thailand and throughout the Pacific Rim.
The classic 36 holes at Burapha have been designed to take full advantage of the beauty of the land and its natural features - lakes, hills, mature mangoes, coco palms and tropical vegetation, all enhanced by skillful landscaping.
Characteristic very well-designed courses are elevated tee-boxes that give excellent views onto the holes laid out below. Around the greens clinging semi-rough joins forces with good-quality bunkering to put a premium on hitting the assorted-sized greens. The four Burapha courses provide a scenic and testing golfing outing in an enjoyable, lightly tree-lined setting.
All four nines at Burapha give great views across the valley, but on the Dunes nine the views get more spectacular than that. The highest point on the Burapha property is between the 6th and 7th holes on the Dunes course. Here the golfer is rewarded with a breath taking panorama across the surrounding countryside. The Pattaya high rise condominiums, the Laem Chabang port, the ocean and large offshore islands are all in clear view. This open, undulating Dunes course is more challenging than its front-nine companion, the Crystal course. With a mix of lightly tree-lined and water protected holes, the Crystal nine provides a gentle lead-in to the more challenging and spectacularly scenic Dunes course.
Pattaya golf travelers can enjoy their golf in a very serene and quiet setting. The Burapha clubhouse serves good reasonably priced local and international food in the golfers' restaurant. For non-golfers there is a wide range of facilities, such as swimming pools, tennis courts, and exercise equipment. The locker rooms are adequate for most Pattaya golfers.
