(Formerly Century Golf Club) The Emerald Golf Club is a genuine country golf course with excellent course conditions and quality services. Nick Faldo and Desmond Muirhead designed this masterpiece 18-hole and carved the holes through a pristine rain forest of full-grown trees that still provide sanctuary to a variety of native birds. The gentle, yet stunning contours of the fairways, the volcanic-like greens and the subtle water placements all combine to make the Emerald one the most challenging golf courses in Thailand. Originally named Ban Chang and then Rayong Century Golf Club the course is set into the mountains just outside Rayong and near to Eastern Star.
There are only a few water hazards, but continued undulated and narrow fairways and well placed bunkers as well as some difficult Par 3's combine to make the Emerald Golf Club a challenging test of golf. Driving accuracy, as opposed to distance is the key to scoring well on the Emerald Golf course.
The small but charming clubhouse with open-air restaurant provides nice ambience after the game. While not as famous as some of the other Pattaya golf courses, the excellent layout along with beautiful scenery makes the Emerald Golf Club a good play for any golfer.
